"The Cerealia Times is in need of correspondents, reporters, photojournalists, and delivery personnel.
Correspondent: you are expected to respond to stories that break out in an assigned section of Cerealia, report the information at the scene, interview witnesses, and supply written stories. Mild literacy is required.
Reporters: you are expected to actively pursue assigned stories and conduct related interviews in a timely manner. Mild interpersonal skills a plus, but not essential. With approval, you will be free to investigate your own stories.
Photojournalists: you are expected to record newsworthy events on film. This may require taking shots under suboptimal conditions.
Delivery personnel: you are expected to transport, unload, and fold bundles of newspaper around Cerealia.
All of these jobs take long hours and are very demanding... but they're worth it. --Except for the delivery job, that's just busywork. Sss, sss!
Leave your contact information, desired post, and brief description of your experience, if any!"

[1] voice;
[Also yes, that's totally her. She doesn't even bother to deny it.]
Wow! You really are good!
[1] voice;
[never miss a chance to gloat at small victories]
Actually, while I've got you on the phone, someone suggested I interview you! Is it true you are a, quote: "local detective," with your own business?
[1] voice;
It's a pretty small business still, but yeah, I guess you could say that.
Re: [1] voice;
Howabout an interview? Solved any high-profile cases? Having an article in the paper could really help get you off the ground, y'know!
[1] voice;
Well....I guess we can do an interview. I can't really talk too much about my cases since I need to protect my clients' privacy. [And because she didn't need people looking into how she was able to know the things she did while seemingly not doing much.]
Re: [1] voice;
Right, right! You can... y'know, change the names to protect the innocent.
Would you prefer to do this face to face? If so, I'll meet you anytime and anyplace! Just name it!
[1] voice;
And well, thanks to Jaune, her face was all over the place anyways.]
Sure. How about at a McCeres? Sometime after school.
Re: [1] voice;
Nooooot a problem. I know where that is, sure. Though, how after is after school, exactly? I don't attend it, so I'm not sure of the times.
[1] voice;
[She thinks a bit first.]
How does four o'clock sound?
Re: [1] voice;
[1] voice;
(ooc: Did you want to thread this out or er....however Myriam gets her interviews?)
Re: [1] voice;
[1] voice;
[As promised, Shiho waits patiently at McCeres with fries and a chocolate shake at around 4pm after school. She's already told Kaoru that she's having an interview before going back so she's just flipping through her Cerevice as she waits.]
action;
[eventually she scooted close enough to take a seat (carefully) across from her]
Miss Shiho, I presume? Sss, sss, sss.
action;
She visibly relaxes once she figures out it's just Myriam.]
Yes, it is. And you're Myriam Scuttlebutt, right?
Re: action;
[among some other mean names]
Thanks for agreeing to this interview. I hope I didn't keep you waiting for long. How are you?
action;
[Because it was either some sort of codename or really rude names.]
I'm fine. I just got here, anyway. And you? Isn't it hard to run around in that box?
action;
Not when you're a master undercover reporter like I am! This box conceals my identity, letting me collect my scoops without anyone being the wiser. Imagine this box as like a steel-iron trap... for information!
But, enough about me... tell me more about your business, in your own words. How long have you been running it? Is this something you did previously? What sort of problems have you helped people solve?
action;
A steel-iron trap, huh....Cardboard is a bit weaker than that though. [Shiho would have suggested metal plates inside the box.]
Anyway. I've been running this one since I got here, so not very long. I had something like it back when I was at home though and I'd been working on that since I was ten. As for problems, well...
Here it's mostly finding medicine, lost cats, and cheating husbands. It's kinda boring. Back home I liked solving cold cases, especially the murders.
Re: action;
[it'd probably be difficult to store at night anyway]
Oh! Tell me more about that! What sort of murders would you investigate? Sss, sss, sss.
action;
[Her eyes sparkle with a sincere cheerfulness at the mention of solving murders (which isn't worrying at all right).]
I like the really gruesome ones. Oh, it's even better when the police don't even know where the body is and they only have one single piece of evidence.
Serial killers are great too. [Especially because they always seemed so contemptuous in Shiho's eyes: using an MO like a signature, taunting others with the knowledge that they'd never be found. She made it her personal mission to take them down a notch. Or five.]
Re: action;
More concretely? Can you describe a case you solved from start to finish? Sss, sss, sss. If you don't mind.
[Scuttlebutt wasn't sure she'd actually use this for a story, but it sounded interesting and she liked mysteries too]
You can change the names if you want. You know, to protect the innocent!
action;
[Shiho taps a finger against the lid on her chocolate shake. How much could she tell her without talking about her psychometry? And about....espers in general, actually.]
There was that case where someone was going around killing homeless and petty criminals. 10 people had already been killed within a few months before I got called in. I made them take me to the latest crime scene so I could check it out.
Nearly all of victims had died from an unknown cause, collapsing suddenly in the middle of the night. I think there was even talk about toxic gas being emitted from the area.
[Though that was all ridiculous conjecture as far as she had been concerned. And she'd figured out as much when she'd gone to each crime scene and read them.]
It was mostly just luck that I found the criminal at all, that time. I was messing around with the detective's car, and I happened to find evidence of what he had done left behind.
[The self-justified feelings of a psychokinetic serial murderer thinking that he was above the law because he was a policeman.]
He wasn't any better than a vigilante. Then he was dumb enough to try to shoot me and write it off as a misfiring accident.
As if I'd have misfired and hit myself. [So unimpressed.]
We got him in the end and that's pretty much it. [Kaoru had thrown him out the window of his car using psychometry and everyone had come to protect her. It's a good memory of hers.]
Re: action;
Well, that begets one question! What was the decisive piece of evidence? A bloody scarf? A knife? A bullet-hole no one noticed through the car-door's window? Sss, sss, sss.
action;
I did say they died from an unknown cause,. A scarf, knife or a bullet-hole aren't exactly subtle.
